Who we are
Gridwork Marketing LLC is an SEO and marketing agency in Asheville, NC. Our website address is https://gridworkmarketing.com. Questions about this policy go to [email protected].
What personal data we collect and why we collect it
Contact forms
When you fill out a form on this site, we collect what you type into it: usually your name, email address, phone number, business name and message. We use it to reply to you and to prepare for any call you book with us. Each submission is stored in our own customer database, with a backup copy and an email notification so that no inquiry gets lost.
Forms are protected by Cloudflare Turnstile, which checks that a real person is submitting them. Cloudflare may look at technical details from your browser to make that check.
Analytics
We use two analytics tools to understand which pages people read and how they find us.
Fathom Analytics is privacy-focused. It does not use cookies and does not collect personal data.
Google Analytics records the pages you visit, how you arrived (for example, from a Google search), your device and browser type, your approximate location based on your IP address, and actions such as submitting a form or tapping a phone number. Google processes this data under its own privacy policy. You can opt out of Google Analytics on every site with the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on.
Cookies
Google Analytics sets cookies (named _ga and _ga_*) that recognize your browser on return visits. They last up to two years. Fathom sets no cookies. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings at any time, and the site will still work.
Embedded content from other websites
Some pages include content from other services, such as a Calendly scheduler for booking a call. Embedded content behaves exactly as if you had visited the other website directly, and those services may collect data about you and set their own cookies under their own privacy policies.
SMS Privacy Policy
Gridwork Marketing LLC may disclose Personal Data and other information as follows:
- Third Parties that Help Provide the Messaging Service: We will not share your opt-in to an SMS short code campaign with a third party for purposes unrelated to supporting you in connection with that campaign. We may share your Personal Data with third parties that help us provide the messaging service, including, but not limited to, platform providers, phone companies, and other vendors who assist us in the delivery of text messages.
- Additional Disclosures: Affiliates: We may disclose the Personal Data to our affiliates or subsidiaries; however, if we do so, their use and disclosure of your Personal Data will be subject to this Policy. All the above categories exclude text messaging originator opt-in data and consent; this information will not be shared with any third parties.
Who we share your data with
We do not sell or rent your personal data. We share it only with the service providers that run this website and our business, and only so they can do that work: website hosting and security (Cloudflare), analytics (Fathom and Google), our database and email tools, and, if you subscribe to our newsletter, our email newsletter provider. As stated above, text messaging opt-in data and consent are never shared with any third party.
How long do we retain your data
Form submissions and our correspondence with you are kept for as long as they are useful to our working relationship, and for any period the law requires us to keep business records. Google Analytics keeps event-level data for at most 14 months and then deletes it automatically. Fathom keeps only anonymous, aggregated statistics.
What rights you have over your data
You can ask us for a copy of the personal data we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Email [email protected] and we will respond within 30 days. This does not include data we are obliged to keep for administrative, legal or security purposes.
Where we send your data
Our service providers store and process data in the United States and, in some cases, other countries. Each of them is bound by its own privacy and security commitments.
Your contact information
We only have the contact information you give us. We use it to respond to you, to work with you if you become a client, and to send the Momentum Brief newsletter if you sign up for it. Every newsletter includes an unsubscribe link.
